The cultivation, made up of around 600 plants, was seized in the Gorbals following an intelligence-led operation.
A cannabis farm worth £120,000 has been seized in a police raid in Glasgow.
Officers swooped in on a commercial premises on Moffat Street, Gorbals, on Friday, August 19, and discovered the initial set-up of an industrial sized cannabis cultivation.
Police said the large quantity of cannabis plants recovered had an estimated street value of £120,000, along with 600 unused bags of soil, worth around £10,000.
Local officers, working in conjunction with the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers, SERCO Community Renewal Team and other local groups, have redistributed the bags of soil for use in school and community gardens and allotments across Glasgow.
Insp Cennydd Smith, Gorbals Police Station, said: “Industrial sized cannabis cultivations are used by criminal gangs who take advantage of some of the most vulnerable people in our society and use the money from these cultivations to fund other criminal activities.
“Being able to disrupt this activity at its early stages is an excellent result and being able to bring some added benefits to community groups across Glasgow is a real bonus.”
Sgt Gary Bone, community policing team, Gorbals Police Station, said: “This premises had the potential to be one of the largest cultivations operations I have seen.
Cannabis clones for sale were also destroyed.
