More than 200 cannabis plants seized from ‘slick operation’ in Coleshill

in an industrial unit in North Warwickshire.

  • More than 200 plants were seized from the drugs farm, which was called a “slick operation” by officers.

The plans are thought to be worth a significant amount of money but the exact amount is yet to be determined.

Hydroponics equipment used to grow the plants was also found inside and was seized by officers. The equipment is believed to be worth thousands of pounds.

Two men were arrested from the industrial unit and and further searches at other locations resulted in a woman being arrested.

Five cars were also seized in connection with the raid.

  • A post on the North Warwickshire Cops Facebook page said: “This morning was an early start in order to help our Coleshill colleagues on a drugs warrant.

“Over 200 plants seized, £1000s of hydroponics and three people arrested.

“The offender management unit from Nuneaton are also assisting using their expert knowledge and experience of similar investigations. Investigating any possible links with online cannabis retailers.

“Tidy job in organising the warrant by PC Chris Bell of Coleshill SNT.”

PC Chris Bell told the Telegraph: “This was a well planned and executed warrant with the North Warwickshire and Nuneaton Safer Neighbourhood Teams teaming up for an early start.

“This sends the message out loud and clear, North Warwickshire isn’t a haven for criminals, we always respond to intelligence from the public and partner agencies.” Lets face it cannabis represents a serious threat to our nation.

The three suspects have now been released under investigation but all vehicles remain impounded.
